What was missing
A social theory of the visitors
Hanson himself named the obstacle: there was no plausible social theory of what visitors would want and why. Without one, every guess is a story fitted to a fog. The pieces sat on the table for fifty years because nothing forced them into order.
The chain
From measured math to a predicted profile
Our published corridor result supplies the missing theory, and it was not built for this debate. Coordinated systems survive only in a narrow band: enough shared purpose to act together, enough independent voices to stay alive. Measured across five substrates, formalized in Lean, published with its falsification handles.
Run it forward. Whatever reaches anyone else has already survived its own power, so it kept the band's rule: reciprocity that does not break when the strong meet the weak. At contact, that rule looks like restraint. Quiet presence. Deniability that leaves belief a choice. First touch at the floor, not the palace. The full profile, with its grading, lives on the first-contact page.
And the chain ends in a stated prediction: as humanity demonstrably learns to coordinate, contact should become clearer. We then tried to turn that prediction into a registered test, and what we found is reported just below. It is not what we hoped.
Here is what we found. A registration needs a kill: a result that would prove the claim wrong. This prediction cannot have an honest kill at this time, for three reasons. If contact stays unclear while coordination rises, that never disproves the mechanism, because no one can confirm a visitor was there to calibrate anything. Clarity also rises on its own, because sensors, pooling, and analysis grow with coordination, so the predicted pattern can appear with zero visitors, and no clean baseline exists to subtract that. And our own theorem proves that even a perfect positive could not tell an agent from those mundane causes. So we state the boundary as the result: at this time, no pre-registration of this prediction can be made with a responsible kill. An honest instrument stops exactly here.
The disagreement that matters
Domestication or consent
The nearest modern theory reads the same quiet sky and says: they are gentling us, the way a herder gentles cattle. The corridor reads it and says: they are respecting us, because respect at the floor is the rule that survival selects. Same observations, opposite anthropology. We hold the second reading for a reason we can point to: dominance does not survive its own power reversals, and whatever is old enough to reach us has survived many.
We also name the weakest link ourselves. The step from internal stability to external restraint is the argued step: human history holds plenty of societies that were stable at home and brutal abroad. Our reply is the reversal argument: a civilization that expects to meet others its own age must keep the rule that survives role reversal, and whatever is old enough to reach us has been the weaker party many times. That reply is reasoned, not proved, and we grade it accordingly.
The record
Does the reported record match?
Is this what the UAP record and experiencer accounts describe? The reported profile matches: capability, restraint, ambiguity, contact at the margins. We hold our own discipline here: matching an ambiguous record is weak evidence, and we claim no origin for any of it, in either direction. What we publish is the prediction, and the edge it points to: as humanity demonstrably learns to coordinate, contact should become clearer. Building that coordination is what this whole project is.
Our materials research adds one hard result: a dead fragment can never certify an engineered origin. The signature of coordination is upkeep, and a fragment stopped paying its upkeep the moment it broke off. Seventy years of arguing over debris was the wrong instrument, structurally. Only a functioning system can carry the signature, and we have published exactly what that test requires.
The discipline
Why every claim here wears a tag
This field has swallowed careful people. So the house rules stay on. The corridor result is measured and published. Its extension to visitors is a model, a prediction that could be wrong. Matching an ambiguous record is weak evidence. We claim no origin for any report, in either direction. The tags are not humility theater. They are the cost of saying anything in a field where saying too much has always been the failure mode.
